Erie County and NY-27 Voters Can Send a Message

February 27, 2021

Voters across Erie County and throughout New York’s 27th Congressional District have a chance to send a message and help support responsible and unifying leadership in the Town of Hamburg.

As a resident of the County and Congressional District, you know the damage erratic and opportunistic politicians have on local communities. You are also aware of how effective an honest and sensible leader can be. Randy Hoak will bring over 20 years of experience as an advocate to stand up for the community where he has lived for 42 years. Hoak will use his community-building experience to bring groups together and continue to move Hamburg forward.

Supporting Hoak sends a message that Erie County and Western New York are ready to move towards progress and leave divisiveness and discord behind. This campaign aims to connect communities and bring people together. Your support sets an example for the rest of the area that unity, integrity and sensibility are more powerful than political ambitions.

Donate $27 to Hamburg for Hoak today and send the message that Western New York is ready for more responsible leaders.

Hamburg Democrats Endorse Randy Hoak for Town Supervisor

February 24, 2021

In a unanimous vote on Tuesday evening, the Hamburg Democratic Committee endorsed long-time Hamburg resident and committee member, Randy Hoak, as their candidate for the Town of Hamburg Supervisor race.

Committee members are very excited about Randy's candidacy and believe that, together with the Town Board, he will help move Hamburg forward and build on its progress over the last several years.

Hoak Campaign Press Release on Police Funding

August 27, 2021

Hamburg Town Supervisor Candidate Randy Hoak has joined Town Board Members Shawn Connolly and Karen Hoak to call for current Supervisor Jim Shaw to increase police funding over 2020 levels in his upcoming 2022 Supervisor’s Proposed budget.

The Hamburg Police Department saw only a slight reduction in funding during the 2021 budget, with lower than expected gas & oil expenditures as a result of reduced travel during the pandemic substantially contributing to the change. While the small rollback in funding, which was approved by a 5-0 bipartisan Town Board vote, was considered to be responsible pandemic budgeting, it’s imperative that Hamburg utilizes available funding to ensure our local police force is able to safely and effectively protect our community.

Now It's On To November!

June 23, 2021

Last night, with the help of many dedicated volunteers, members of the community, and the voters, we have earned the Democratic nomination for the Hamburg Town Supervisor’s race. While people in the same party may sometimes disagree, we have more ideas in common than differences. We welcome those who have run against us in the primary and their supporters to join us and work together for a better Hamburg. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to our campaign and the campaigns of our running mates - we are on the path to Move Hamburg Forward.

But the journey doesn’t end here. We need to keep the momentum going. This campaign will bring responsible leadership to the Town of Hamburg. We have an opportunity to reject divisiveness and unify our great communities to address real issues in the Town. Hamburg citizens deserve a leader who will listen to and stand up for them. The Town needs a supervisor who is more concerned with substance and less with headlines. Our tax-payers deserve a leader who shows up, is honest with them, and addresses concerns relevant to Hamburg. Together, with your help, we will continue to #MoveHamburgForward.

September 25, 2021

I am proud to announce that CSEA’s Region 6 Political Action Committee has endorsed me in the Hamburg Town Supervisor race. I was a proud member of this union, and this endorsement could not mean more to me.

CSEA is the largest affiliate union of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. CSEA members work in a number of different areas including public hospitals, universities, cities and several more. These members help our communities thrive, and I am thrilled to have their support in this election.
